He probably does. But he understands football and probably realises he can't cope at this level any more and isn't doing the club he supports any favours.

His form ( since Samuel arrived ) has been piss poor so what he should be doing is going away, working harder than ever to prove his worth for another season.

I still believe a better manager with a better attacking way of football would suit Rooney here. May not have the legs but having runners around him he could pick passes all day long in a deeper roll.
