2017/18 Wayne Rooney

It's interesting that some people slate him for giving the ball away too often, which admittedly he does in a lot of games. However, part of that is because he actually tries to play crossfield balls and move us forward quickly. He does need to improve on how often he gives the ball away, but he gives us something no other player in our squad can give us.

Its not how he gives the ball away, its where. I don't think anyone minds him (or anyone) losing a couple of passes with an ambitious cross field ball. He is prone to giving the ball away in really dangerous areas just in front of our box etc. Weirdly though for a player if his experience its worth remembering that he is still learning how to play int he role he currently is for us as its much deeper than he has ever played elsewhere.

He keeps loosing it just in front of our CB, and everyone just looses their minds.

Everyone talking about this composed/creative hole in England's midfield. Is there an argument for Rooney to play deep this World Cup? Nobody else seems to be able to pass forward.

Rooney for England is a no from me...

Let's keep him at home & get him ready for next season...

Good decision from Wayne to retire from international football...

Erm, he's retired from international footie, so I'd guess not much of an argument.

Would be ridiculous if he's a mainstay of our team next season. Legs have gone, passes more often to the opposition than to his team mates and is on penalties despite having a miss rate of close to 50%. All that for 150k a week. Shame he's building that mansion because I had hoped he'd be off to China this summer.
