There were quite a few better than him tonight but he’s won us the game again.

Agreed, not his best game but he was there when it mattered and he has that awareness that others in the squad don't. Had a good season so far and done more than many of us expected. One of the few bright points in a pretty glum first half of the season.

Deffo true because you can count on 2 fingers how many chances he's actually missed.

He can still slot, he can still time runs in the box, he can still play balls better than anyone. Just his legs and engine isn't what it used to be but that's becsuse he's basically played football for 15 years and always left everything on the pitch. That and the 40 ciggies a day and the ale wouldn't have helped but you know what I mean, he's doing the business for Everton and that's bloody great.

Great to see him after the match hihhing all the lads with a little word in their ear.
