It will be in Rooney's contract that he has to replace Ross Barkley in every single way, including which bars he attends, which girls he (allegedly) steals, which fights he gets into, etc.

If we sell Ross, I look at Rooney and see a similar situation to what happened with Stones and Williams. Rooney will come in and do a better job for maybe 2 seasons. Then we will need to find someone else.

I'm hoping we keep Ross though and get Rooney, so if one isn't at the races we have a like for like swap. In a couple of years time Ross may be better than Rooney is now but at the moment I think Wayne can offer on a more consistent basis.
