I’ll never forget that Rio Ferdinand wind up when he was about to give a dogs home £50,000 to keep it open and to stop the kid (actor) from crying.
He’s got a heart of gold, I’ve always liked him and always will.
I hope he does well in his new career and continues to goose loads of old women, who need loving too.
Has an account on here apparently

My recollection of it was he kept saying “I’ll have to speak to my agent”

He is a money mad tory, remember him defending Phillip Green on Twitter. Glad to see they got beat today, hope he takes them to League One

Terrible write up in the Guardian there, can tell the fella who wrote it probably only know him from playing FIFA.
If you read more of his work you wouldn't be syaing that. Liew is probably the best active football writer in the english language. Only Ronay and Valdano can compare

Took off at bottom, got them up to 20th, won 4-0 against brum last time out, kept a clean sheet in most if not all his games?

new manager bounce or is he destined for greatness

The list of great players that became great managers is pretty short. For every Cruyff and Beckenbauer there's a ton of Koemans and Maradonas. Pep's the only active one I can think of.

So I'd say the odds are against greatness.

Wasnt ancelotti a good player?
Simeone?

Ancelotti was a good player. He was injury-prone and overshadowed in that Milan side.

Simeone's a good shout out. If he wasn't great as a player, he was very, very good.

As for Zidane - he had that run, but I question whether he'll ultimately be remembered as more than the guy that went on a tear in the CL as a manager.
