Way of playing

Vardy started playing well in the premier league during 2015/2016 so 3 seasons ago when he would have been 27/28 after an initial season of 5 goals beforehand, prior to which he had 1 in 2 during their championship promotion season...

Im uncertain of how Coleman, Gana, Walcott and Sigurdsson would improve....theyre all 29/30 so i cant see what they would be able to suddenly improve which they havent already peaked at ?

Those 4 are the classic premier league Everton players like Jags and Baines who we keep for too long and lose their transfer fees whilst paying huge wages.
So the time between 27/28 to 29/30 renders a player completely unable to improve?
Come on Zat, this is getting a bit too weird now. You're far better than this.

Bench was Schneiderlin, Baines, Niasse, Stek, Tosun, Bernard, Mina.

I just want to know if lookman will play on weds...

I didnt say that players 27+ cant improve...the players i mentioned are already 29/30...i cant see them improving.

To be fair Zat, remember all those years back when a slim professor looking Frenchman walked into Highbury. He had rigid, defensive yard dogs in Dixon, Keown, Adams and Winterburn playing football, like Brazil.

It can be done
He's a lovely lad is @Zatara - clearly - but he doesn't half give me headaches when it comes to players' age.

The backline which had been together for years and was considered Arsenals strongest point along with Seaman

Ergo

"1-0 to the Arsenal".

Bit different to us isnt it?

But 29/30 IS 27+ you LUNATIC!!!!!!

You literally wrote 27/28 to 29/30 and asked if i thought players can improve during that time period.

I replied that our players were already 29/30 so they arent likely to improve.

Me typing 27+ is clearly a reference to your comment of between 27/28 and 29/30.

@mkrudden also, i stated quite clearly that i was talking about OUR players and the players mentioned:

Sigurdsson
Coleman
Gana
Walcott

They wont improve their abilities...perhaps they may have a decent short run of games in certain circumstances but they wont improve.

I know, but they never played football until Wenger changed the style of playing. Remember Adams bombing past our defence to fire home a left footed rocket past Tom the Norwegian

Being defensively rigid does not mean you can play football, ergo a player no matter their age can change their way with the correct coaching

It comes back to the ability of the players to do so doesnt it?

Also they had Vieira and Petit coming back deep to pick the ball up and drive forward and slot back to cover....we have Gana / Schneiderlin / Davies.

Indeed it does, but Tony Adams and the like were 80’s footballers under George Graham, who used to tie a rope round them in training to ensure a the back line remained a line.

And you’re right he had a 21 year old unknown Patrick Viera who had played 3 games the previous season.

But ‘twas the tactics and the coaching of the manager which changed the entire philosophy and mindset of that team

What do you know of their abilities to improve or not mate? With respect, you don't.

Let's just agree to disagree.
