You might mean the 5th round in 86, we made it 2-0 (but Spurs scored a consolation goal).

Referee Jack Taylor our 1966 cup final referee - The GV shuddered when he was given our game for the final as that game was notorious of incidents - The GV should have had a pen - Bobby Moore's pen was a joke, & the away fans there, threw beer bottles on to the pitch which was reported to the FA ......

Any idea what the penalty was for? I've tried both sets of reading specs, an electron microscope and exotic mushrooms, and I'm still none the wiser.

The GV claimed it was fora very slight push on Bobby Moore an England star ........his penalty was nailed on for us ..... He never gave it .....hence the beer bottles reigned onto the pitch from the blues fans .....
The GV claimed Jack Taylor robbed us of the double that season .....

I recall that one, was an Easter bank holiday I'm sure,no way was there 29k present that day, ripples of laughter yet again at Goodison when they put that up on the old Park End scoreboard
