....be careful you don’t get stuck up the Old Man of Conniston.

What makes me laugh is that I set off for a day in the mountains with full waterproof kit, rucksack, food, water etc... and you quickly get overtaken by some 65 year old bounding past you like a deranged mountain goat wearing only a vest and shorts!

LOL.

Two of them ran past me a few years ago on Helvelyn.

We were half way up and they’d past us, got to the top and then past us again on the way down.

Cotton vests and shorts wearing Walsh old skool fell runners !

I'm doing Snowdon again tomorrow, try to get out to Snowdonia once a week. Its great for mental health, a day on your own in the mountains, just the ticket. Snowdon is great but it can also be too busy at times, but i actually like to do it in the dark as well, which is ok if your experienced at that type of thing and ready to turn back if the conditions aint right
I think when i learnt to drive about 16 years ago i started to get a bit lazy, like driving the shops...etc but it was more the novelty of driving I think.

I kinda recall a 75 yr old fell runner who went missing a few years back up near the trough of bowland. They had to dig his body out of a peat bog!

There’s another challenge in Wales called the Paddy Buckley round for fell runners that covers 100km and 47 peaks in 24 hours....only lunatics should apply!

First visit to the Lake District last week to hike up Haystacks. Amazing views. I can understand why Wainwright chose to have his ashes scattered up there.

Thought you were banned like
I've explained it all here...

Obviously it was all a massive cock-up at Mod central and I managed to escape gulag (cleverly disguised as one of the fabled GOT mugs during the 15 minute exercise break we were given each month) and then reach neutral territory before the alarm was raised. After paying a bounty to assure my safety, said Mods decided to grant me my freedom under the strictest of conditions.

All dead straightforward really.
Hope that helps

Can't be arsed reading pages 2-5.

Best walks:

Watkin path (the South route up snowdon)
Brecon beacons. Pretty much anywhere, spectacular. Obvs pen y fan is famously tough when pushed but what an accomplishment.
