I don't know anything about him but if Moyes did go I'd love an appointment like this. Would show the club were actually showing a bit of ambition and imagination instead of sleep walking into some mediocre flavour of the month like Martinez.

Porto fans have never really rated him, crap in Europe apparently.

I know they did crap results wise but i watched em against PSG and they played well, especially at the Parc de Princes, they was unlucky in the knockouts i think it was?!.

But he's of the Mourinho, AVB mould, never a footballer or one of any good standard and took up learning the game and taking in coaching from a young age. Pereira was AVB's assistant before he left for Chelsea and in his first full season at Porto he won the league and this season they are unbeaten in the league, although they are 4 points behind Benfica who are top and unbeaten themselves.

But i must admit, he as got a very good side at Porto but it still takes some doing to win the league in your first management job and to go the whole season so far undefeated IMO.

Thing that makes this sound plausable is that he's possibly going to be out of a job come the summer and he wouldnt cost a penny to replace Moyes?!.

Please no, he's just not good enough. He won the league because he had a better and more balanced team than Benfica, and still almost made a mess of it. I would be very surprised if they won the league this season as well. They just lost the League Cup final last weekend against Braga, which besides the league was their only chance left for silverware, and their collapse at Malaga was in great part down to him as well.

A manager who chickens out and fails when it matters? Hmmmmmm
