Sells one of our only sellable assets for profit when he's been out of form for 12 months, turns 29 this year and is currently on strike. It's a strange move to freeze him out if he's not already agreed a fee but let's face it they probably agreed a sale a while ago. People are hung up on the french international thing, the last French squad had great players like Dubois, Guendouzi and Veretout in it who cares?

As for Mykolenko he's touted as one of the best young left backs. Whether he is or not nobody except hopefully our scouts know. But it's not like he's some jobber when he's been linked with all the top clubs previously
"Turns 29 this year" - for starters no he doesn't he turns 29 next year, but putting that aside, do you mean that he's 28 and over 6 months away from being 29?

And "the last France squad" would be relevant if he'd just snuck into that one. He's got 43 caps.

Well good luck to the lad, but this is an awful lot of money. A huge fee for someone playing at such a woeful standard.
Only 22 but been first choice since he was a teenager, played over 20 times for his country including at the Euros and has been playing Europa League/Champions League football for the last 4 seasons.

Price does seem a bit steep but he's a good age and will be on relatively low wages.

Logically these are the only options: -

1. We have signed him as first choice left back to replace Digne and we are going to sell Digne for more than 20 mil to help with our FFP struggles;
2. We have signed him as a backup for Digne and have no intention to sell Digne and Mosh has gone on a bender and decided to screw the FFP rules and accept the breach with a hefty fine to keep his dinosaur manager happy
