The baby sitting job whoever plays LW is such a hinderance to them.

It's a part of the game taught and learned young. Position, awareness of the space and move to cut the angles down to prevent the easier through ball.

Reaction player, is ok when he doesn't have to think and is happy darting about putting out fires. Expect him to prevent those fires starting is where he drops off stone dead. Not a lot of game intelligence, and although left footed, it's no super weapon that can be relied upon.

Agonising player to watch because it's always so dangerous so readily. At the wrong end that is.

Not to dissimilar from his overall stats - he's championship level. Benitez has got a lot to answer for, selling Digne and buying this guy and Patterson.

The penalty concession was mind-blowing. Stands a yard inside his own box and takes a wild, and bizarrely in slow-motion, swing at the ball.

Upgrading him at left-back is the easiest task in the world.
