Can’t fault him for not getting forward (or abandoning his position on the third goal) as that’s clearly the instructions from the manager.

His defending has been brutal this season however. There’s just not another (better) option in that spot at the moment.

……wondered where he was at the start of the 2nd half when they had the freedom of OT down his side. Looked like he was standing on the centre spot alongside Tarkowski. Very odd, he’s one of those lads who’s very lucky playing in the top flight in this big bucks era.
He was clearly told to do that (like his goal against Palace? last season)

This is off the opening kick vs Palace last year. Clearly a tactic.

Having said that, again, his defending has been putrid.

….not sure about ‘instruction from the Manager’, I lost count of the no of times he had it in the top third against Brentford and wasted every cross. Arguably had our best scoring chance when he got on the end of one in the Gwladys St box. I just don’t think he’s capable.

He was at his best attacking when he overloaded the box last season which he only did for a very short period. He cannot play out wide offensively. His crossing is abysmal. If he gets forward at all, you want him getting into the box where he had an impact last season. Dyche kind of gave up on that strategy which is strange because it is the one area I thought he did well in.

Dyche has given up on the strategy of having anyone in the box, never mind the left back.

Touche. I think Myko has more value in the box than out wide. Again, if we play Doucore, he should be the one covering for them to get into attacking positions. Otherwise Doucs shouldn't be on the field.
