So poor last season as well. Having a full back who can't do the basics with a ball at his feet cripples the team. So easy for Southampton to double up on Ndiaye yesterday because of how little Mykolenko offers.

I thought he was pretty good last season, and I think he won a number of MOMs. He didnt offer much going forward but seemed to be pretty good defensively, which isnt the case right now.

I don’t think he has fully recovered. Same as Tarkowski. Carrying niggles but playing through. He was decent last season after a poor first 6 months (when he was also injured).

Below average players are capable of having occasional good games. I don't know what it is that people find so difficult to understand about Mykolenko occasionally being the best (least worst?) performer in a poor team but still being a poor footballer overall.
