Everything has improved with Myko. Clearly been putting in the hours at training. I can see Baines has helped his mentality in being more attack-minded. His crosses are getting better.

And not only is he defending brilliantly under pressure but he’s doing all the little things to make attackers cancel out their moves and pull back for a reset.

I see it so clearly. He keeps the ball as high up the pitch as he can at all times. One great play he made today was anticipating the City cross was going long, he pulled away from his attacker to put his body in front to allow the ball to go out and change possession in our favour.

….we just need better. Mykolenko did fine today, but we rarely see any link or interplay with him, you can’t say he forms a blend or partnership with Ndiaye. There’s a reason he’s had one assist in his time here and it’s not Sean Dyche.

I honestly couldn't give a toss where assists come from really.

He is a perfectly adequate top flight full back, but we do need a different option who gives the things he doesn't.

It’s a hugely important area we have to exploit, Mykolenko is a man-marker but we want better than ‘adequate’, look at the goal the Villa LB scored tonight, a player keeping Digne out of the side.

Solid and supported the attack well today, has been sound for months, once dyche buggered off tbh.

His position isn’t a priority atm due to his performances, which I didn’t think I’d be saying.

For me, he needs to show this delivery more. If he doesn't, we would be well served by a pacier option that can interplay and get forward. Myko is for starters a bit too left footed and often struggles to beat his man. If and only if his crossing improves dramatically (maybe we saw a glimpse of it today) we definitely need to be looking for another. We need depth regardless. He can't be the only one.
