I thought he had a good defensive performance against a difficult opponent. His ability on the ball is the reason we need a replacement. But credit for the last performance.

Wonder if having him play behind Niels Nkounkou could be something to look at next season.

Niels is good as gone. He is tearing it up on loan at Saint-Etienne who have a buy option. They will surely exercise it if for nothing more than to turn around and sell him for a profit.

I must be watching a different player.

That moment when he dashed across to get between Ferguson and the ball was goal saving. He and McNeil were quality down the left...

...McNeil gets the plaudits but he wouldnt have delivered a 10/10 performance if not also for the man behind him.
If it is not prime Baines it will never be good enough.

Is he worth another look? Or is it the french second division? He wasnt all that at cardiff.
For some reason i think he's worth one more(final) good look at Everton.

He is a wing back rather than a full back, this season he has tended to play high up the pitch at times.

He's not even as close to being as bad as some make out.

He's also not anything special.

Grey area?
I was talking to a friend about him in work. I think he isn't quite good enough for the Premier League on a consistent basis, but too good for the Championship. Maybe he'd do well in France or Holland.
