They did that vs Brentford after Mykolenko went off.
I know he did,
But we were 3-1 up with 15mins to go.

Him and Coleman will give their all, but going forward I’m not sure either will offer much tonight.

If he sticks with the back 5 maybe play patterson right wing back, to at least give us some pace and attacking ability and then play kenny left wing back

…quite possibly, Matey.
I didn't see the game but that was my initial thought. I followed the game in the match thread on here and the fact that he wasn't getting slated every 5 minutes says he had at least a decent game, if not better. So I think he was just saving him for tonight. If I'm not mistaken he had been carrying a knock anyway which was apparently why he wasn't in the squad for the Villa game.

I think this lad needs some patience, but what I have seen of him he looks like he has all the tools required for a good modern full back. what we desperately need now is some stability at the club, to allow the likes of him, Gordon, Godfrey etc. to know that the manager will play them if they do the business. That the manager wont be changing in a few months time and that the crowd will cut them a little bit of slack for mistakes made due to them still learning their trade. Hopefully some decent performances will detoxify the crowd and make for a more nurturing atmosphere.
In fairness, I don't think it's the crowd that needs detoxifying for the players. It's the internet.

….sounds like he has COVID anyway.

Unless he has symptoms he would be ridiculous for him not to be involved. Inconclusive is not a positive test....
I don’t know the PL protocols but maybe all players are required to have a negative test result before they are permitted to play?
