We were forced to watch some video in general studies which looked at a case of some American lad who was first in school with his homework etc, never had friends but always sat playing a shooting game.
One morning he got up, got a gun and fired at a majority of pupils in his school and they think it was down the game he had in his console which the more you shot the more points you got or something.
pardon me for the expletives, this is one of those subjects that occasionally frequents the media when they want something to demonize.
i cant say for sure but perhaps his clear intellect separated him from the cletus's around him and therefore they chose to tease/bully him due to his clear ability.
hopefully he aimed straight and fatally hit the individuals responsible for his suffering.
and once upon a time protestants killed catholics.
its nothing new.
its much more difficult to be an extremist nowadays, but that doesnt stop the french having mugabe over for frogs legs and champagne. (britain isnt exempt - pinochet had a good time here)
its a shame there is no holy war against politicians only.
I blame video games. It took me years to work out that every game of cards does not end up with a fit naked bird in front of me. God dam that strip poker stuff.
If it were true my generation who grew up playing packman would all be energeticly running around in darkened rooms, popping pills, and listening to repetive mucic. Hang on a second! LOL!
Violence in video games has been prevalent for a long, long time. I remember playing Barbarian (I think that was the name) back on the Speccy where you could decapitate you opponent with your giant sword, as big as your character.
