Hi Happy Blue Boys! Palace fan here.Went to Reading today, thought (now you've calmed down a bit:D) you might like to know how the young fella got on.
Actually, pretty well.Put in a shift, made numerous good runs, always eager for the ball and gave his marker a torrid, physical time. Sadly, he does like to argue, and eventually talked himself into the book.Skill wise, a class above anything that was on offer from two very poor sides today. He ended up leading the line, such is the paucity of our squad and although he was game I get the impression that he would be better playing off of a big man(?) Subbed after 75 mins to a big hand from the Palace fans (who always appreciate a trier) and on our boards the general opinion seems to be that in an otherwise shambolic performance, he was our MoM.
BTW,was having some Corporate Hostility inone of the lounges before the game.Watched you on the big screen. When the third went in, you will be pleased to know that a huge roar went up from supporters of both clubs.(y)

ha. Thanks for that mate. Nice to know how he's getting on. For both of us, hope he stays fit! I'd love to know how many back to back games he's ever played.

That's terrific. he always had the potential, we know that. he would be in the england squad had he not suffered the injuries he did ever since he was 16. Three of seasons ago he looked ace and looked as f he's gonna be the next big thing when he produced an over head kick from the edge of the area that earned a corner. Then, deja vu!

Hope he can stay injury free and all the best to you(y)

Good to here, he make not make it here, but I'd like to see him have a good career, he deserves it after all the bad luck he's had over the past few years.

As for his style, he's strong, quick, has a good leap and is a decent finisher. Not the most technically gifted striker around, he's not someone who's going to link things up, but he makes intelligent runs and I'm sure that area of his game will improve with games and experience.

Easily a Premier League level striker if he stays injury free, he has the attributes.

If you keep him injury-free you'll have a Premier League level striker in your ranks for the season. Unfortunately I'd say he has about a 30% chance of making it through a season without getting some sort of long-term injury.

Frankly I'm pleasantly surprised he made it through 75 minutes today without one of his kneecaps falling off.

Fantastic news.

Injuries though. Had he not had them, he'd be one of the stars of the PL by now. But not only had he missed game time, he's missed development time, and he's as good now as was then unfortunately. And promisining talent doesn't cut it when you're 22/23.

Hopefully he can stay injury free, and do well for you. I'm still hopeful he'll come good for us, but maybe I'm being optimistic.

Hi there Eagle, welcome to GOT and please be so kind to keep us informed on James's performances. Personally I'm a big fan of him and agree with Toxteth's comments on him.

Do have a bit of a soft spot for Palace, as my mate who died in a car crash 2 years ago was a big Palace fan. Been there with him once.

He's talented enough to be a super sub off the bench or maybe even a starter for us. Pity his legs are swiss cheese.

You'll love him, runs his socks off, plays with passion too.

Without doubt this lad injury free, this lad is a top top forward, it may not be with us which is a pity but he needs to grow somewhere, if he had stayed injury free and developed as planned ive no doubht he woul dbe in our starting 11.
