I have said for some time that his 'enthusiasm' - or stupidity is his down fall.
People say he's injury prone, quite possibly he is, mainly because of some of the daft challenges he goes in for. He goes in for challenges that are 90/10 in the other players favour. Think back to his foot injury and his shoulder as some examples. You could think its a great spirit to have, sheer determination and all that, but theres a line between that and just idiocy.
Now, getting sent off in a friendly, whats that all about? Why is he putting in challenges like that on the road to regaining his fitness? The result didn't bother me in the slightest, but his sending off did.
You could argue its just a young lads enthusiasm, but to me, theres enthusiasm, and then stupidity.
Its not really a pop at the lad, I have a good amount of faith in him. I think he desperately needs to curb his enthusiasm a bit otherwise he is constantly going to be picking up more than a 'few bumps and bruises'. Is it just me who has this view?
