VAR

Things to improve VAR:

  1. Each team has 1 challenge each half, otherwise on field decisions stands.
  2. Them challenges you can have has a time limit of 1 minute (if they still cant decide the on field decision stands)
  3. No ex or present referees as VAR officials, independent team of trained personnel.
  4. VAR only to look at one incident, not offside then when they see its on side they look for a foul somewhere else in the same passage of play.
Better way is to scrap it. Football is too subjective for VAR to ever work in a satisfactory way

It’s a bit like the “guns don’t kill people, people kill people” argument.

I’m 100% behind VAR. It’s the ####s running it I don’t like.

The EPL is thoroughly & shamelessly CORRUPT!
In theory VAR could be a great addition to the game, but theory and reality are two different things. It was brought in too early, with not enough training, no clarity, no real plan, half of it made up on the fly etc. Should have been properly prepared and planned for, but it wasn't and now it's a mess; littered with errors, bias (be it subconscious or conscious), unclear rules of application, subjectivity from one week to the next and a group of referees who essentially dont want to put their colleagues in a tricky position. A [titus] shambles of a situation if i do say so myself.......

The best thing the PL could do tomorrow is get rid of VAR. Football is loved around the world and there was no review for over a hundred years. There are rules being broken all game long that are missed. People flop. They were tripped and the call was missed. But when it comes to penalties inside the box and offsides, it should remain with the ref on field. For offsides it’s about the spirit of the rule and keeping someone in front of you. Using GPS is not what it should be. If a guy with a flag sees it, go with that call.

How can any official look at an obvious shirt pull and tell another official they believe there has been a clear and obvious error

It's an absolutely laughable decision. I've seen games where the VAR has got involved to recommend a penalty for that sort of incident.

I feel like the bar for perceived smaller clubs to get a penalty is so much higher than the bigger clubs. VAR is just increasing the perception of big club bias. If that decision was in favour of a City, Arsenal, Liverpool, United etc, no one even thinks twice about it.

Proper snide that VAR didn’t show that angle of the penalty - dreadful decision to overturn it!
Was done on purpose. The club has so far remain silent on this. I do not understand why. This is basically cheating. Var could have shown the entire play from all of the angles. Decide to just focus on young slowing it down as much as possible so it looks like a dive. Crazy...and worst thing the pgmol has the audacity to say that there was no fault...madness.
