VAR

Mate, if you think offside calls are black and white guy clearly don't watch much football. In your weird world every decision that the referee makes apart from whether the ball is out or who kicked it last is correct and can't be improved on because it is SUBJECTIVE. That's a bizarre take.
You're not understanding the point but I can't think of any other ways to make it so I won't say any more.

I think we ought to be careful about the calls to bin it. If we did, the referees just get the excuse that it was missed, speed of play etc for their "mistakes", and it is just sweet under the rug.

We are all angry at var, not because it is getting things wrong, but because there is less excuse to get it wrong now and they still do...it has basically exposed all the biases and inconsistencies, intentional or not. We see it now and it infuriates us. They've also applied it moronically, which doesn't help.

It won't help, you'll get interpretation of what daylight is, which bit of the player counts etc. Just leave it with the linesman and unless it's horrendously wrong let the on field decision stand.
100% it should be obviously wrong for VAR to change it. No more mucking about with lines searching for centimetres.

Remember this...
Richarlison penalty not given.webp

And this...
Penalty not given v Spurs.webp

It’s no surprise to me whatsoever that we got administered with the one refereeing decision which could affect our PL performance. Anything else impacts us only in the FA Cup but the PL want it’s fake title race and fake relegation battle so up steps they’re useful pigs to do their bidding, let’s see how Everton get on on the back of 3 games loss streak now without their best striker.
We'll win the effing lot. UTFT!

Hodgson should be calling that out so should Dyche and everyone else! The fact that nobody does is the reason why the game is in its condition now!!
I kinda still like Voy, he used to manage our national squad. Bunker-Roy we called him.

But that's spot on. Imagine what Clough would've said. Roy has the experience and charisma to be the elderly statesman here and he in a way did the right thing, as far as he could.

who is in charge of auditing this?
A decent journalist should look at all VAR decisions. This seems a bit light weight... has RS as the most punished side. seem suss
Load of rubbish that anyway, it only looks at the ones where VAR has intervened. Plenty of our gripes are that they haven't where they should do.

I understand it perfectly. Because there will still be a legitimate disagreement over certain decisions because they are subjective there's no point in having VAR. It just doesn't make any sense.

I'm making one point lad I don't get how you're missing it! VAR doesn't work unless it's for straightforward black and white situations. It can tell you if someones offside or the ball is out of play but it doesn't help when the call is subjective. Forget the Beto one that was just an example but if you don't like it we'll just use another one. The laws say that the Onana handball was a penalty but do you think it is really? I don't and neither did the referee I have no doubt he saw it but he didn't think it was a pen because he used common sense but then someone else told him actually it was and it ended up getting given BECAUSE ITS SUBJECTIVE!
Why would you want to forget the Beto one ?
Because it doesn't suit your narrative ?

It's a bear hug on our Centre forward in a goalscoring opportunity in the penalty area.

If you think that is right not to give a pen ( or even go to a screen in slow motion ) then that's your perogative. Maybe you should ask why yourself Why it wasn't given .

This is one of the reasons the club gets absolutely nowhere by accepting these decisions.
It's not new either we've been the Soft Club for years.

It's not misinterpreted and shouldn't be subjective , say it how it is .

Yeah, it basically shows that the on field refs have a bias towards Liverpool (quelle surprise) and while they may have had a more decisions overturned in their favour it doesn't take into account all of the other decisions in their favour which haven't been reviewed or overturned.

But that is still impossible to determine with sufficient accuracy to say someone is a mm offside. Players can move quite a bit in a frame.
They should be able to get the correct frame where the player first touches the ball, but I was just saying that's what the law states. Agree with you about offside by the way, the law's old hat with VAR sniffing around.

It's actually from the point the ball leaves the foot/body, but anyway.....
