How can a ‘kin accidental coming of together in contact sport be deemed a penalty

it’s ruined football
The PL's response to the BBC was utterly shambolic: clear and obvious is subjective and Martin Atkinson claimed a decision against David Silva was justified.

If the referee had gone over to the screen, the decision would not have been given. The whole decision and policy that it's the VAR referee only is dubious at best.

A lot of people have started to become disillusioned with football with all the money involved. The sky monopoly and their total bias towards big teams. The disconnect between fans and the players.
But for me nothing has come close to testing my patience and love of the game then var.
It is slowly ruining the game.

Love to know who the idiots were who judged our game today, should be named and shamed.

From what I have heard/read, the ref has the opportunity to go to the pitchside monitor to look at what the VAR official looked at (as in the WOrld Cup), but that has not happened once yet...

That’s the rule though. The sub kicked the ball when it was in play. A penalty was the right decision based on the rules.

I agree, it’s a mad rule, but the interpretation of it by the ref was 100% correct there. Don’t hate the player, hate the game - an all that jazz.

So a 2nd rate ref hiding under a sheet can make any decision he wants and his judgment is final. Football is finished.
