Lets not forget people, those who are Fans of VAR that the Refs are still getting things WRONG even using VAR, it takes to long even when you can see yourself that its an easy decision, and afterall it still comes down to a person making his own mind up,yes they still get ones right but so many wrong or ones you think how do they think that after looking at it,i am not a fan of it at all no matter how it may make the right decision or wrong one in the end,its just to slow and they have trailed it long enough in Test and in games,This VAR was suppose to help Football but has made it even more confusing at times in wondering what they are doing

What did you think of the decision after VAR to downgrade the straight red on Utd’s Lindleoff against Wolves to a yellow. I thought it was a red even after the replays. He took him right out!

Don't agree, The officiating in the PL is so bad at the minute that VAR is needed.
VAR will just add to the mess up that Refs sometimes do for me-some decisions are either way and always will be,i am not a fan of VAR and have not been from the start,so many more mistakes with it,than without it,to much time even on things that as a fan when you see on screen yourself that should take 10 -20 seconds, that VAR somehow takes a min or so,or passes it back to the REF

I will bet now the 1st VAR decision in the prem league will be in Everton's game lol

VAR worked well in the World Cup, although was room for improvement as refs become more used to it...

The Premier league Media will not want VAR, and the Andy Gray waffle shows... Don't think the Premier league want it, as it will remove bias from the league...

I'd much prefer see a game delayed 5-10 minutes if it means the right result, anyone arguing differently (like Gray) has an agenda

Rich coming from Andy Gray when all he used to do when he commentated on sky was watch a slow mo replay then criticise the referee. Now he wants to defend the referee cause he doesn't want VAR.

Every major sport has droves of fans and experts complaining about referees and umpires. So nearly every major sport gradually introduced systems like VAR. Now nearly all of those sports complain about the replay system and the refs and umpires use of said systems.

if you are the governing bodies of any of these sports you must wonder what you can do to make people happy.

Every technology added to "help" will be controversial from the off. We have seen it happen in Tennis, American football and Rugby when first introduced.
to write it off because it has teething issues is silly.

The refs need to train more on how to get the best use of it and the bodies need to use it better and possibly change rules to integrate it.

Also refs need to stand their ground. Some off them have easily gone to VAR just to let the video decide instead of sticking to their guns. Like that handball in the UTD v PSG game.

It should be displayed on a big screen. That would die down a lot of people's argument about time taken. Just watching the six nations, a TV official checking the incident whilst the game still goes on is how it should be implemented, especially with something like an offside. The game doesn't HAVE to stop dead.

And football authorities thinking that showing it and showing replays on the big screen adds too much controversy are a major part of the problem with VAR.

Properly punish players other than the captain speaking to the ref and they'll learn to just accept some decisions. Right now, everyone gets properly effed off at every decision, ever ones they know is correct, it's so bad to see.

How do people think PL sides are preparing for VAR next season, as it stands now a player can be booked (or sent off if it's his 2nd yellow )for carrying on and shooting at goal once he's been flagged offside and the ref has blown up. Will this still be the case after VAR is introduced. It will surely be the duty of the player to carry on after the whistle has blown and try and get a shot off. Will it make the linesman redundant when it comes judging offside because not forward with his salt will take any notice when the flag goes up.

Whether you support VAR or not do you think we would have won 4-0 with VAR next season? I think Richarlason and Digne's goals wouldn't count so I go 2-0.Think they probably would count for Man United, and there is the problem

I don’t think Richy’s goal would be disallowed, but yeah, it surely gives the dodgy referees more opportunities to affect things that they can’t see. VAR should only be used in obvious situations such as offsides, goal line decisions, etc. It is being used for debatable calls, and that should never be the case. I am not for it atm. I don’t believe they will implement it properly.
