Even though he couldn't get past RS's player on both attempt, that is more to do with his match fitness but he certainly make our intention felt to the RS, and because of this pressure we were able to put them on there back foot again.

Once again it shows we are missing natural winger who could cross a nice ball, and on the first attempt in the right area he was able to find his intended target Gosling, and the young lads shown us what he is capable of once he is settle down in the match, bright future this lad would have.

Which brings is down to Moyes please forgive this man and give him some more playing time to prove his worth, as much as I love Osman but he is no winger!

The only reason we have done pretty well recently is because of Baines and Pienaar combine well on the left to cause problem, think what it would be like if we have someone who could cross on the right as well, it would give Arteta more option when it comes to stringing out our attack.

He looks up for it, hope he gets more match time - good to see him tracking all the way back before he caught Babel's elbow in the face.

Also, just realised that when Babel was coming through the Ajax academy, van der Meyde was there and at his best - probably idolised the man!...

I dont care how much he's pocketed off us, If you old me 3 years ago van der meyde would be a useless waster for 3 years pocketing thousands a week and giving nothing back except a glorious cross/assist in the dying moments of extra time in a derby fa cup tie, I'd say pay him double!!

Andy van der meyde stand up!!

*applauds*

Your work is done!(y)

Said for a while AVDM should be used. He is experienced but has been wasted at Goodison. All that talent, or at least some of it should be unleashed on a regular basis.

Good cross, if he can be of value use him, i dont think he will be though, no going back for me!

Hes a bad ted!

I'd like to see him get a run out last 20 minutes to get his fitness. Really prove a point, nothing to lose has he? and Moyes can't fail to see his worth their tonight. I hope he has spoken with him and congratulated him on a great assist.

It's a sad state of affairs for Andy, all the ability to be a real fans favourite.

Unfortunately I think this will be his legacy at Everton, that assist, that cross... :D

We're unlikely to see much more, and he'll be gone this summer as his contract expires.

Always had faith in him, always been excited when he's fit again, always excited when I see him on the team sheet. Love seeing him **** about at half time.

FINALLY you repay it...if you get the chance over Gosling vs Villa, take it

he's got that touch of class.

shined it up nicely for tonight.

he's earned himself a run in the team.. who knows?
