Was going to bump last thread but it was locked due to age. Its something I feel quite strongly about so here we go again.

Fresh headlines today:
- Measles cases in Europe tripled last year
- Measles outbreak declared in Philippines

In developing countries it could be understood that access to vaccinations is limited, but for modern-day Europe? There's no excuse apart from stupidity. Parents who not only put themselves, but their children and the people their children are around, in danger.

Measles can kill. People have forgotten its severity thanks to vaccinations. Though its only one of many dangerous diseases prevented by vaccinations.

Don't be stupid. Vaccinate.

My best mate's family are completely opposed to it. Some of the crap they share on Facebook from the worst kind of fake news websites turns my stomach. In the face of reason and logic some people are just desperate to see only what they want.

Unsurprisingly all of the family suffered from mumps a few years ago...

Folks are happy to rely on evidence-based reasoning (i.e., science) which brought them things like air travel, iPhones, clean drinking water, etc., but can't seem to wrap their head around the fact that vaccines save lives. The development of things like vaccines and antiobiotics were huge advances in health/wellbeing.

Some of the nonsense you see on social media. I have an acquittance who regularly spouts anti-vaccine, flat-earth, Illuminati, Rotschhild et al. on social media.

One of them is that all people with cancer should be cured with CBD (it's a golden bullet don't you know?) and chemotherapy is purely a tool for the rich.

Anyway, his friend unfortunately gets cancer over the in US and there he is demanding that people contribute cash for their chemotherapy and radiation treaty.

Where's the miraculous CBD oil now? These people are happy to spout absolutely rubbish but when it comes to it, they're quite happy to throw it all away.

I wonder if these people have experienced the real world. The same person I was mentioning before is also a huge advocate of the whole chem-trail conspiracy.

The whole idea that it would literally take millions of people (governments, engineers, members of the oil industry and parts of the logistic chain) doesn't faze him.

Everything I've read says he considered using medical marijuana to treat his cancer, but opted against it, as he would have been denied a liver transplant if THC had been found in his blood?
