I’m a bit nervous about going there now. I always end up in secondary because I’ve been to Iran in the past. It’s always been totally respectful but I’ve been reading some worrying stories about secondary recently. People having their phones taken and things like that

I was asked to unlock the former USMNT thread, but I can't bring myself to do it. I would like to forget 2020-2024 for many reasons and that definitely includes US soccer.

So here's a new thread for a new and hopefully better era.

Think positive thoughts. When everyone is healthy and in camp we’re only a center back, goalkeeper, midfielder, winger, and striker away from having an 11 that might only lose to Switzerland by 2.

It’s still a year out so no real need to panic yet and when it all starts I think the US will put in some decent performances and do okay.

Good coach and home advantage will be huge for the USA team, maybe these results may dampen expectation and lessen the pressure on them ?

This is a good take. I'm not panicking at all. I'd rather the US look a bit better right now but it's an entire year away, and I'm confident they'll put on a decent showing once the real games start. Also, maybe they won't perform well, but I don't think we can know that based on some friendlies played the prior summer.
