Interesting, the 2b valuation wasn;t from Usmanovs bid and it's proposed value of the club - wasn't that a 1 billion for 67% offer?

the only time i have seen 2 billion as a number was on the proposed African interest

guessing - i'd say he's just put up a flag for those to bid

That’s what I’m getting from it.
‘Oi Nigerian billionaire, if you want a way into arsenal with a huge percentage shareholding, and promise not to sell on to good old Stan, then I value the total club at £2b - come make me an offer’.

What I think is going on here is Kroneke has got wind of others being interested in Usmanov's shares and is trying to buy them first.

100% this.

A few weeks ago it was rumoured on the arsenal forums (and here too) that Usmanov was looking to offload his shares. Then last week Arseblog came forward and said an offer had been made by Kroneke. It makes sense. Kroneke hears that Usmaov is looking for a buyer and that's the moment he steps in.

In sales, rule number 1 to maximise price is to repeat the refrain "it is not for sale".

He couched that beautifully later in his statement.

His statement means ..................................

" pay me what I want for it and I will sell as long as you aint with Stan. If you are with Stan, I will charge extra. If you are Stan, a lot extra still":

I reckon rule #1 is have/know your customer.

In thiscase the customer is the Arsenal fans who have started to get themselves whipped into a frenzy about him selling to Good old Stan, this will immediately keep them quiet, behind thescenes who knows whats actually happening, but least this way the protests will not happen

I wish he would bail moshiri out of his shares, he needs to buy a new rudder for his yacht, its sailing completely off course.

An African chap who goes by the name of Dangote who has stated on numerous occasions that he will make the Arsenal shareholders they can’t resist ??
The plot thickens

Interesting that he is Nigerias richest man (possibly Africa's), Gazprom are negotiating with the Nigerian government for the trans sahara pipeline, Usmanov used to be the md of gazprom, plot thickens ;)
