Its hardly Evertons fault this time though is it.

Doesn't matter whose fault, it's just the news was snowballing to the point you think any moment you could hear Usmanov has sold his shares and then we get that. The deflation is typical Everton.

Don't get me wrong I wasn't super excited to start with so I'm not distraught by this, it would have just been a nice added bonus and the answer to a great many questions that are out there at the moment.

If the answer was an unequivocal NO I'm not selling and I'm keeping my stake ad infinitum, then he wouldn't have thrown in the line about potentially selling to a 3rd party. Let's be right he doesn't want to sell to Kroenke, why would he? So if he can offload his stake to a 3rd party who might be capable of winding the job up further for the Sherman then it's job done.

To add - that statement also capitalizes on publicity to make clear his position and for the first time - make clear he is receptive to selling.

Interesting, the 2b valuation wasn;t from Usmanovs bid and it's proposed value of the club - wasn't that a 1 billion for 67% offer?

the only time i have seen 2 billion as a number was on the proposed African interest

guessing - i'd say he's just put up a flag for those to bid

Thing i would have expected to have been in this btw, would have been to see it phrased as not in talks with Kroenke OR any other party.

What I think is going on here is Kroneke has got wind of others being interested in Usmanov's shares and is trying to buy them first.
