Usmanov

...all those folk going on RAWK and doing a lap of honour around Anfield should surely have learned a lesson by now. We are 2nd of 2 in our city, the only way of changing that is actions. Everton are no threat on or off the pitch to the Reds, we are insignificant to them.

Very true. We have a small, dilapidated stadium and we have just finished in the bottom half of the Premier League twice in succession.

Let's not brag just yet.

...there's a tentative Usmanov link and folk immediately start crowing to our neighbours. It does make us look as deluded as them. Lots on here are not even convinced that we'll re-house at BMD, I just advise we keep our own counsel at least until there is certainty over the new stadium site.

With regards to Usmanov, I understand Moshiri has an interest in the same companies. I wouldn't get excited until Usmanov shows the slightest inclination of selling his Arsenal shares.

As I always say.

As an Everton fan nothing has changed until it has done. So many people buzz off the slight hope of everything, from the summer, to this billionaire to the performance in one game. Amazing how we can't as a fan Base just take stock and be excited when something happens instead.

What I mean is right now the squad is still terrible and until we go and sign new players, then we haven't signed any to improve us. Until the stadium is being built then we don't have a new stadium, until we are in a good league position then we are mid table still.

All of the above might come true and we have a good team in a new stadium and spending money on better players. But until that happens then it hasn't yet, and despite the new owner , nothing has changed on the pitch as of yet and nothing has been built either.

The same thing happened after the arsenal game, I called a thread out on the fact it was basically a ,we best araenal, let's compare ourselves to liverpool'. Liverpool shouldn't matter to us right now, in fact the less mention of a team in the city thst overshadows us over and over the better because all that matters right now is everton.
There is no guarantee in football with us, so we still are a crap mid table team miles away from the top 6 teams with inept board members still paying a significant part in the club. When that changes, fantastic, when the players sign then fantastic. When we all go to our new stadium, fantastic.

Just don't hold your breath

Ah I remember these time.

Massive named sponsor, the dreams of more billionaire investment, what great times these were.

Wait, it was only 3 days a go....

Totally agree with you. We have a very poor squad atm, we have a lot of players on big wages that don't play, Niasse, Kone, Clev, Gibson and a few others. The teams gonna take 2-3 transfer windows to get any where near the top 6. Let alone break the top 4, unless we get lucky which based on the last few times we got record points we finished 5th is unlikely.

We are going to need to continue improving our revenue. As I said previously there is no point in Usmanov coming in the next year as he can't spend like City and Chelsea did. What he can do is carry on providing us with the means to bridge the gap. While keeping his ever rising Arsenal share.

My cousin worked for Littlewoods for years...he was John Moores chauffeur.....used to pick Sir John up from his home very early in the morning....Sir John was always in the office before anyone!
Used to see him in his latter years getting chauffeured in to Goodison, would look in my mirrors and see the reg plate JM1 behind me,it was a Ford Scorpio he had then too, nice car but not what you'd have expected of a man of his fortune:)
