There is a difference with this.

It is written and directed by Shane Black (he played Hawkins in the original). He was put on that movie to keep an eye on the director, John McTiernan as the studio didn't trust him.

Shane is an accomplished Screenwriter....Lethal Weapon, Lethal Weapon 2 and The Long Kiss Goodnight were all written by him.

He is also a great director. Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys were his. And although Iron Man 3 had a rubbish story, it is widely accepted the direction in the movie is excellent.

I am quite happy with Predator being in his hands.

I also read, that it won’t be going out on release, until they’re all 100% happy with it.

In other words it’s not just going to be another Predator film.

The film version of the Everton 'Magnificent 7th' 2002-03 review is out in July - looking forward to that one. Interesting cast too: Denzel Washington as Alan Stubbs, Nicolas Cage as Thomas Gravesen, John Travolta as Li Tie and Andy Serkis voicing the CGI Moyes.
