upcoming films

First time I saw it, I'd agree.

Having watched it a few more times it's a very good film, with a few casting mistakes - Rafe Spall and his side kick being the worst. The end was a bit ridiculous too, but they obviously had an eye on the next one.

Im still unsure on Prometheus, it was the prequel to alien right ? I sort of got it a little bit at the end, but why did the original humans or whatever they are called, want to kill todays humans ? Or am I missing the point ? I don't think im the only one to have been slightly confused, was expecting aliens mutilating people all over the place.

I liked seeing the owner of weyland/yutani (I think that's the name).

You're not alone in being confused, I was to first time ai watched it, hence why I initially didn't like it.

However having watched it several times now, I really rate it as a film.

My understanding is that the the original humans created "us", but didn't like the end product, hence wanting to kill today's humans. ( At the very beginning the original human drank an organic mixture containing our DNA, he then dissolved in the stream, which carried our DNA and created the original life form that we originated from ).

The planet that Idris Elba and co landed on was an elaborately designed trap, to lure "us" to it and infest us with aliens, which would then be spread throughout humanity, wiping us out - hence the need to stop the original human escaping and getting to earth with an alien inside him.

There's loads re can read about it online.

The next one is due out at the end of May and I'll be there on the opening night.

Can't wait ;)

Okay so maybe I did get it then lol I just struggled to get into it initially, I actually liked the thought of engineers becoming a key player in the franchise.

Any news on another predator or AVP ?

Nothing as yet, but I'm sure there be at least one other.

The new Aliens film, sits in between the last one and the original, so should be good.

I think with Prometheus, Ridley Scott might have been a bit self indulgent, hence why people struggled to get their heads around it.

There is a new Predator movie for next year..... Written and directed by Shane Black.... Hawkins from the first one, acclaimed screenwriter and director of Kiss Kiss Bang Bang and The Nice Guys.

This sounds promising - The Bad Batch.

Dystopian cult that practices cannibalism from a remote desert compound in America.

A western crossed with a horror film.

Due out in June 2017.
