It's party time mate! 🥳🥳🥳

Joaquin did win the Oscar for it, right?

That's got to count for something?

I mean, there was a time when everybody was only talking about the potential of his older brother, River.

His passing was always described as: All that talent, thrown away on a dirty pavement outside the Viper Club, on a sombre LA night, and as he lay there OD'ing, his life slowly slipped away.

Now all we are left with is a mediocre hair-lip reminder of what could have been... Waaa-Waaa!

Good to see he's proving his critics wrong.

Don't think I've ever seen a crap film with Joaquin in.

I'd say from about 1998, when he filmed 8mm with Nic Cage, he hit his stride and from then on, his acting skills have grown tremendously.

But prior to that, the critics were hard on him, sometimes unduly so, mainly due to the fact that he was River's little brother. 🙄

I've probs missed off a crap film but generally if he's in a film, I'll watch it.

Gave You Were Never Really Here another watch last week, love it.

Haven’t seen all of his films and I agree that he is usually in good (and better) films. But Signs is one I’ve seen him in which I thought was pretty bad. Would have to watch again to comment on his performance in it as only seen it once and it was ages ago.

It must have been horrendous for him as not only did his brother die, he was with him on the pavement as it was happening.
