With all the hype on felli, donavan and pienaar, I would like to remind everyone of our unsung hero Lucas Neil.
He is the reason for our reduction of hoofball. If you study him carefully, his first option is always trying to thread the ball forward. If it's not possible, he'll carry it himself in a surging run. Hoofing is rarely in his book. We never had CB who play like this, not in moyes era. I believe he has set a CB benchmark for the rest to follow, at least in terms of distribution.

there was alot of direct hoofing from neill last saturday but a good bit of business from moyes

Doing well but not the long term solution at CB for me, he let Arshavein get away from him a bit to easily a couple of times but overall he made a few good blocks, was discplined, used his expirence and covered well. I thought yesteray was Heitinga best showing at centre back - he lookeed an absolute beast.

Hes a much better player than Hibbert, in every single way. We would be wise to sign him up for another year if possible.

I think he's a really good player. Intelligent, tenacious and a leader.

neill has been getting better with every game, as has heitinga.

we are looking very tough to beat again. i really fancy us to have a good cup run in one or indeed both the cups.
