danger everywhere on every corner, I go out in a suit of armor the streets are so lethal around here, oh how I wish I was just a simple scarecrow at peace in the world in a field somewhere in Dorset with only a few sparrows and tractors getting on my last nerve, rather than subject myself to the dark streets of London.

I don't pay too much attention, to all this level, Defcon 5 alert stuff, there are times when Armageddon could happen at any time and I'd be content enough, but the world is still here,there will always be some corner of the world where there's trouble, there must be some place on Earth where I could live and be happy but I've yet to find it.

Exactly. Just get on with it. Interestingly I read last week that visitor numbers to America are down, with a big chunk of that being the over zealous security staff at airports. People that blow things up are doing so to destroy our way of life. In that vein I'm gonna carry on just as before and not let them win.

Good advice Bruce. Just remember that the reason that there aren't many attacks is due to the diligence of the people who work tirelessly to prevent them.

It is a bit of damned if you do, damned if you don't. You all complain that there is nothing to worry about because there aren't any attacks, but then the second one makes it through and kills people, you all complain the government aren't doing enough to prevent them

A move to a severe threat is not something the Government would do lightly and will be based on actual intelligence received from various agencies, like GCHQ, MI5, Sphinx Company, The det, the farmers union etc.....

We're all due to be wiped out by an asteriod/meteor/ something in 2012 anyway so let's face the inevitable.

Travel on the Tube every month, it's always at the back of your mind with regard to 2005, but you can't let fear rule your life, people just get on with it, terrorism can not be allowed to be victorious.

There's always an element of danger in everyday life, half of everything is fate, you just keep your wits about you and keep going.

Well, I haven't been in the loop for the last 2.5 years, but I worked somewhere where stopping terrorists doing their thing was the primary objective. And not one thing we did was publicized, so I know the work is going on in abundance.
