Think back to his speech to Tory party members during the summer of 2022, when he boasted to that he was prepared to take public money out of ‘deprived urban areas’ to help wealthy towns.

I always thought that Theresa May was pathetic when it came to relating to people as in her reaction to the Grenfell disaster as an example or Johnsons Partying during lockdown, however, Sunak seems to take that a whole new level, combining it with smug arrogance and being completely out of touch.
It's noticeable that the majority of campaign visits are to places like that. How many times have they visited the cities where most people live?

General Election 2024: UK economy flatlines in April, official figures show

Labour and the Liberal Democrats seize on the latest official growth figures as more proof that the Conservatives have crashed the economy though the report says momentum was lost due to the wettest April for 12 years.

Poor Rishi made to look foolish and incompetent by the rain…

…again.

From the Guardian:

Here are the key election pledges the Green party announced today as it launched its manifesto:

  • Invest £50bn in health and social care to “defend and restore the NHS”, including a guarantee for an NHS dentist for everyone.
  • Overhaul tax system “to make it fairer” – a tax on the top 1% of people.
  • Invest £30bn over five years in insulating homes.
  • Create 150,000 new social homes every year by the end of the next parliament.
  • End the Right to Buy scheme.
  • Stop all new fossil fuel projects in the UK and cancel those that have been recently licensed like Rosebank.
  • To bring water companies, railways and the ‘big five’ retail energy companies into public ownership.
  • Scrap tuition fees.
  • A new Clean Air Act to “safeguard children’s health”.
  • Invest in public transport and support to switch to electric vehicles.
  • Make personal social care free at the point of use, like the NHS.
  • Bring mental health treatment up to the same standard as physical health.
  • Restore “ailing” high streets, both rural and urban, by investing in small and medium-sized businesses.
