TORIES 62 of them are standing down anyway .....sinking ship ...
They are polling poorly to my knowledge but as always you never know with our boomer electorate. I want to believe but we'll just have to see. Will be following this election solely through this thread. How’s it looking for the Tories? They finally getting the boot?
And the thick electorate will vote themSafe in the knowledge the opposition won't sort it out because Brexit and such and such.
Agree except in you live somewhere like I dunno south west where a Lib Dem has the best chance of beating a ToryAnybody not voting labour is a div
short and sweet don't vote labour your a friend of the Tories.
Therefore a div
Well, this is it - and it's why the Tories won't really lose. They've set the agenda and Starmer is too cowardly to break out of the trap. And the thick electorate will vote them
back out in 5 years time because “theyve not fixed anything in 5 years”
Yeah, that looked awful. He can’t think on his feet. That could have been held indoors or better still an awning could have been ordered earlier in the day. He obviously made the final decision this morning.Standing there soaking wet like an idiot calling for a general election, 1st minute of campaign and he looks like a loser.
The fact that he was the UK’s top lawyer should be one of the reasons he should be championed amongst this endless procession of turds we’ve had to endure.I know he's trying to look ministerial but jeez Starmer is so boring and wooden ( a typical lawyer and I should know as I was one ) however if he beats Sunaks he can be as wooden as my shed.
It would be truly criminal to blow a 21 point lead in the polls
Of course it's an easy choice between those 2 but there are shades of grey between the 2The fact that he was the UK’s top lawyer should be one of the reasons he should be championed amongst this endless procession of turds we’ve had to endure.
But it’s the U.K…they seem to prefer posh speaking, inbred second rate journalists like Johnson.
He's starting up his own party. lolSomeone needs to do an indepth interview with cummings if he can be found, the sour faced weasel.
Think they said it was the last good news expected for a while so he’s jumping on it . Imagine that’s the highlight of your premiership, simply being in power when inflationProbably thought with the inflation news being positive to go for it now to try and say they turned it around.
Will be all out attack by the likes of the Mail and the Scum on Starmer and Labour now. Wonder what they will make up to attack him.
As You mentioned the EU I did wonder if amongst other things he’d gone for the early election factoring in the EES checks which are due to be introduced because they aren’t going to be popularWell, this is it - and it's why the Tories won't really lose. They've set the agenda and Starmer is too cowardly to break out of the trap.
As long as the UK remains outside the EU - ooh, I see what I did there - then it will never optimise its chances of fulfilling its economic potential.
I'm not British, so I won't tell Brits how to vote, but there's no comparison between the self-serving nasty Tory party and Starmer. That said, if Sir Keir thinks he can rock up in Brussels with another list of cherries to pick - albeit packaged in a more friendly way - then nothing is going to change.
I think it's understandable that he wanted to keep his powder dry to get elected. But when he does, he needs to go gung-ho to restore the UK to its full health, because from what I can see from here in Germany (a country not without its problems), or even Ireland when I visit every few months, the UK is really in a very bad way by comparison. In all sorts of ways.
Starmer needs to grasp the nettle and accept a simple fact: he can never fulfill the UK's potential outside of the biggest trading bloc, richest single market, and most successful supranational entity on the planet. Promising otherwise is to lie to his own people.
