I’m starting to like Ed Davey. Seems to be having a great time!

I’d never really taken to the man tbh, but I read something the other day which really impressed me. Apparently he has a teenage son with a brain condition affecting both speech and movement. Davey has to get up at 6am to change the lads incontinence pads, lift him up to shower/bathe/wash, dress him and feed him. The pads have to be changed several times during the day and evening before bed. His wife has MS. I have to perform the same routine every day with my better half and it struck me how hard it must be for him, especially carrying out his Leader of the Party and MP duties. I may not agree with his policies, but I certainly have a newfound respect for the man……

I think there is a bit of difference between cheering the action and having zero sympathy for farage. Most will find the milkshake thing silly and rather it not take place, those same people will also find farage disgusting.
I hasten to add, I think it was a set up, because he's had heavies out in numbers prevent that sort of thing previous. This occasion just bought him more headlines. The boris playbook of dominating the press, do or say something stupid or set up a stupid photo for the truss voters to fawn over.

While this is interesting, I'd caveat it with the fact that people uniformly don't really know [Poor language removed]. Like people usually think crime is much higher than it is, and indeed the number of immigrants are much higher than they are. I'd rather use objective measures than subjective ones.
Of interest rather than presented as evidence.

Throwing things at people isn't the end of the world, but it's pretty lame if that's the pinnacle of your ambition. I can't quite fathom what would go through someone's head that makes them think today is a good day to go and throw something at someone. That we then cheer such borishness diminishes our own arguments.
This on a supports forum that has
thrown* boo's at a home player subbed on
thrown pies and drinks at just for oil
thrown their first born toddler son at an opposition player
and historically covered the pitch in cushions

I'd have found it far funnier if she'd necked a pint of guinness, followed by a pint of very fizzy cider, choked down a handful on mento's and then splagged all over him from 4 feet away. The full hair drier treatment. On reflection he might be used to vomitus reactions to his person and ideals.

This assumes there is an equal level of interest in or condemnation of people like this though.

People like this fool, the one in north Wales or that east London Labour candidate will get condemned, but the children of / partners of politicians won’t, nor will those tasked with selecting potential candidates who discovered themselves as the best option or those who are fundamentally unqualified to fill such a role.

….you’d expect it to have an impact on those specific constituencies. It’ll be high profile local news.

Threats and or incitement to kill is a very different crime to the throw a non lethal liquid common assault type crime.

At what point did throwing eggs or rotten veg in an act of protest become a criminal offence?

I realise the nazi's I mean tories brought in powers for the pigs to harass and arrest protestors based solely on the decibel level of any such protest (I wonder who has arbitrary say there!) so how much further down the scale of common rights must we joe public find ourselves? grassing someone up because they told a joke in work? ownership of politically sensitive classical literature? not committing the right % of your salary to the 'common good cause'?

And this idea of the 'other' side bullspit is quite simply laughable, because had any side 'labour', 'lib dem' or 'the peoples action for killer whales front' been accepting money from a vocal hater of black women and suggesting such ought to be shot would lead to the exact same condemnation as with hester.

I'd expect such bad faith elsewhere Mr Wayne.
What if it was caustic acid on any politicians ? A few MPs have been murdered not funny at all what ever your beliefs are ....

There was this contradiction of a personality on here, made a lot of noise about the greens, vote green, deliver britain better, greens are the vote for those let down by the classic options of history etc.

Then it all went quiet. And suddenly galloway and the new unnamed true socialist left lean party is de rigour.

Beautiful.

Then I found this.

Yes, you read that correct, £290 for a 'believe your boobs bigger hypnotherapy' job. Deputy green leader.

By your associated conmen, magicians, and hypnotists shall ye be judged.

Did you actually read my post? I went out of my way to address that aspect in the first line.

Has anyone on this board expressed any amusement at the murders of Jo Cox or David Amess?
