I’m starting to like Ed Davey. Seems to be having a great time!

Me and wife talked about him last night and we feel the same. Seems a decent fella. And wants us to watch the footy for free. Shame I live in a make or break seat otherwise I’d vote for Libs I reckon.

Folks - reminder that we do not moderate CA and because of that you need to have tougher skin or not post in this forum.

We've been getting a lot of reports recently. If we continue along those lines, Danny will get fed up and 86 the whole forum....again.

The rule is don't be a tit. Keep your comments about the topic not the poster.

In other words, let's be better than our own politicians and media personalities.

A remarkable graphic for the Anti Woke party of economic stability, law and order and democratic values.
While this is interesting, I'd caveat it with the fact that people uniformly don't really know [Poor language removed]. Like people usually think crime is much higher than it is, and indeed the number of immigrants are much higher than they are. I'd rather use objective measures than subjective ones.

Is it impossible to find both things wrong? Or are we so tribal that it's only wrong if it's done to the "other" side?
Threats and or incitement to kill is a very different crime to the throw a non lethal liquid common assault type crime.

At what point did throwing eggs or rotten veg in an act of protest become a criminal offence?

I realise the nazi's I mean tories brought in powers for the pigs to harass and arrest protestors based solely on the decibel level of any such protest (I wonder who has arbitrary say there!) so how much further down the scale of common rights must we joe public find ourselves? grassing someone up because they told a joke in work? ownership of politically sensitive classical literature? not committing the right % of your salary to the 'common good cause'?

And this idea of the 'other' side bullspit is quite simply laughable, because had any side 'labour', 'lib dem' or 'the peoples action for killer whales front' been accepting money from a vocal hater of black women and suggesting such ought to be shot would lead to the exact same condemnation as with hester.

I'd expect such bad faith elsewhere Mr Wayne.

….i posted a week ago that because the election was called at short-notice, idiots like this would slip through because of the lack of integrity checks. Journalists will be trawling through social media for more of this.

This assumes there is an equal level of interest in or condemnation of people like this though.

People like this fool, the one in north Wales or that east London Labour candidate will get condemned, but the children of / partners of politicians won’t, nor will those tasked with selecting potential candidates who discovered themselves as the best option or those who are fundamentally unqualified to fill such a role.

Throwing things at people isn't the end of the world, but it's pretty lame if that's the pinnacle of your ambition. I can't quite fathom what would go through someone's head that makes them think today is a good day to go and throw something at someone. That we then cheer such borishness diminishes our own arguments.

Lame like beauty is in the eye of the beholder.

Let's not forget that mr farage went on tv to decry aids sufferers. People have the right to protest, where that falls regards the law is well beyond my remit. Just to clarify, the guy that egged that swine prescott and got a jab for his trouble, I very much wanted him to uppercut him back good and hard. A flattened bully like prescott on the front pages would have been stuff to frame on the mantlepiece.

I think there is a bit of difference between cheering the action and having zero sympathy for farage. Most will find the milkshake thing silly and rather it not take place, those same people will also find farage disgusting.
