Beyond the short term satisfaction of seeing the Tories get a deserved punishment beating, I can't see where you're drawing your optimism from.

Aye, the country is a mess, but at least we few have Everton to left our spirits.

I honestly believe that we will see aspects of the nuts and bolts of the country take a turn toward the right direction. That in itself is something to feel optimistic and hopeful about.

The tory's have been and would continue to take us back toward a Victorian era like society, one decision at a time. I do not believe that Labour will follow that path.
