If the official Tories weren't such a car crash and people exhausted with them after 14 years Starmer's lot would be getting about 5% in the polls.

They offer people less than nothing and will be detested once the official Tories aren;t there to hide behind. EVERYONE knows this.

The sooner a new social democratic party of the left get's formed from the Corbynistas and non-affiliated trade union movement the better. The Red Tories will be routed for the next generation once Starmer and his filth have been swept away.

I admire your dogged idealism, and probably share your ideals to a large extent, but I'm afraid I take a far more pessimistic view.

I believe their is far more chance of a neofascist government made up of a unholy mix of Reform and the Tory Party taking power in 5 years time than any serious challenge forming from the social democratic left. Corbyn was as close as we're gonna get for the foreseeable, and we were screwed out of it by the nefarious worms currently running in the Labour Party in 2017, and blew it in 2019, a role in which Starmer played no small part due to his Brexit policy.

Abbott's case was concluded last December and a 2 hour "anti-semitism" awareness course was recommended and completed, but they won't allow her back to fight her seat at the election.

I can’t believe some speechwriter thought that revealing Starmer’s parents struggled to pay their phone bill back in the day was worth revealing. What planet are these people on ? Maybe they’ve never seen the inside of a food bank ! Way back then a phone was a luxury for lots of people, me included.

So you're suggesting there's a group of committed Socialists out there with the numbers and organisation to do this, and instead of working within the Labour party to advance their own interests and potentially topple Starmer from within to take power themselves, their aim instead is to help ensure a potential Braverman-led Fascistic Tory party wins a landslide to herald in the 2030s?

Look at the trajectory of Momentum. Leading figures are leaving that.

Don't be surprised if they are - with the 200,000 who've left 'Labour' under Starmer - an advanced guard going on to support and co-ordinate independent socialists campaigns in this election as a precursor for a formal launch of another party in the early years of a Starmer Tory government.

The numbers are there and the cash is there from unions.

It's noticeable that Reform have come along and made a particular dent in Tory polling, yet no similar socialist insurgent has come even close to doing similarly. You might be forgiven for thinking it's because it doesn't exist.
