He might even go too far with the trolling and net himself a ban, at which point all the folks arguing with him now will demand he be brought back because he’s an “arch contrarian” who makes the forum a “more interesting” place
It’s the Cycle of Dave; and it became tiresome roughly 9 years ago, but low and behold we’re still doing it

Would I prefer an alternative? Yes probably. I’m not convinced by Labour, but right now it’s all we have.

It's all about the manner of posting, how they say it.
It's rarely in a conversational way, looking to discuss or ask questions or inform people
It's just basically shouting at everybody constantly, but in written form on a forum. They want to tell you their opinion and loudly and repeatedly
A normal discussion woul require humility and Dave is devoid of it
