Uh oh! Summer Sponds!

So why the Kirkby business in the offing did he say the club had been put up for sale.

You only have his word that it was put up for sale, have the other shareholders siad anything or indicated they would sell their shares.

I may be pragmatic:lol: but Danny are you gullible?

So the club only recently [since Kirkby] got put up for sale?

News to me. Could have sworn at every AGM for the past six or seven years Kenwright has reiterated the club is for sale and that "he will continue to sit down and discuss the club's future with any individual or group which boasts integrity and financial clout" .

Like me, you haven't got a clue. It's all guesswork, guesswork founded on levels of cynicism. You either think Kenwright has the clubs interest at heart - or he uses Everton as his play thing. If the latter is your main concern, news flash - that would be the intention of any potential investor. They're not in it for the money....

Oh dear.

Recently, with the whole Kirkby affair, it would be impossible to even consider a takeover. If theres one thing investors dont like, its uncertainty. Impossible to draw up figures.

I hope theres progress after the Kirkby decision.

So you think Kenwright is doing everything he can to fend of any interest? - Fair enough. As I said, we'll never know, all down to opinions and cynicism. You either trust the man, or you don't.

I don't think there is a sale to even fend off.

Oh dear? Weird you. Thats fact - at every AGM he has said the club is for sale.

I'm merely pointing out the fact that he has said for around 7 years that he wants to sell the club. In this time, numerous clubs have been taken over.

So why have we never sold then?

Facts are there mate.

Facts? You mean the fact that at every AGM Kenwright has expressed his desire to sell the club?

No one knows. Facts are, he has said the club is for sale for at least five or six years. Obviously an equal fact is we haven't been sold.

Another fact is, if anyone was serious about taking over Everton, as I have said, all it would take is a phone call to a newspaper or any type of media leak to force his hand. Imagine the pressure if someone said "I want to buy Everton...."

No one has ever said that, or even expressed any interest. Steve Morgan did with Liverpool... and plenty of others like Lerner did with Villa.

So again.

It's all guesswork, guesswork founded on levels of cynicism. You either think Kenwright has the clubs interest at heart - or he uses Everton as his play thing.

Clever you.

I was demonstrating Kenwright has said the club has been for sale prior Kirkby.

Oh, and regarding all these takeovers. Not all have been too good have they?

Lerner is a Villa Fan.
As a London club, Chelsea are more appealing.
Man City have a nicer stadium to show off.

Not many more?

Unless you want to talk about West Ham, Portsmouth, Liverpool etc...

The fact I am referring to is that Kenwright has said that the club is for sale.

The other fact is that nobody has even sniffed at it.

In seven years? I find that pretty incredible.

I'm not cynical mate, I'm just not getting bought in by this whole Kenwright is ace lark. He wants Moyes to perform miracles, but is not prepared to back him.

70% of the season we don't hear from Kenwright. When we do it's sickly and sweet, and only happens when something good has happened on the field, which apparently justifies his presence at the club.

Moyes will leave, and we will never get in the top 4 on a regular basis.

Lerner is a Villa fan, hahahahahahahahahaha.

We'll talk this over again in the summer when another season is ruined.

Well said.

People have desperately short memories.

Growing up in the 90's am delighted with the way things are. Doesn't seem that long ago I was devastated, literally devastated we missed out on the UEFA Cup on the last day of the season.

FA Cup Final on the horizon, a 6th place finish assured with 5th a real possibility and Europe AGAIN next season.

That reminds me Reidy, I'll be a richer man next season so fully intend on a European tour. I have stuff to make a flag, took your advice. We need to start drawing up ideas for a great flag.
