Uh oh! Summer Sponds!

Moyes said that and inferred it was why early targets nissed out on.

But like Ghost to me BK seems to be all talk and sincereity about selling but I also question if he is really that keen.

I've let my Everton players down by not strengthening the squad, says Moyes | Mail Online

‘I am loyal to our supporters and people at the club but more than anything I am loyal to the players,’ he said. ‘We have built up a really happy relationship and strong
spirit and I desperately want them to succeed.
‘If they are going to do that I have to help them by bringing in new players who will strengthen the side and give us a better chance of closing the gap on those above us and being in Europe every season. That hasn’t happened this summer and I feel I have let them down.

‘At the end of last season I wouldn’t have thought it possible we would be sitting here in August without a single new face.
‘It hasn’t been for the want of trying and I have to say the chairman, Bill Kenwright, has been fantastic. No-one has worked harder to get players in but it just hasn’t
happened yet.

'There are all sorts of reasons for it and some must remain private. But there aren’t many clubs looking to sell players at the moment, and certainly some people who have been brokering deals for us have let us down quite badly.’

I think that is incredibly obvious, but the "he signed Moyes" kind of trumps anything else, it seems.

To be fair Ghost, its not as if Kenwright is delusional - he has reiterated several times that he needs to sell.

The more valid argument is, how much is he pushing for a sale?

I trust Kenwright has the clubs interest at heart and will look to sell to the right buyer. Am sure David Moyes will have a big say.

Essential to ensure stability is kept. Moyes wont walk with Kenwright due to lack of funds - he would walk if a meddling chairman came in.

Depends what you want to believe and how cynical you are.

With what Rob?

None of us know Kenwrights true intentions - so it is down to opinions and how cynical you are? Do you not think?

We all have differing views Danny and I just keep getting the feeling that not only does BK look like Moores but seems himself as that person without the wealth. I just do not think BK really wants to let go no matter how much he claims to be looking for a buyer.

Investment has to comw with someone buying the shares and then putting more money in. So when Bk claims he is looking for investment in the club what does he actually mean. If that is being cynical so be it, but I think I am actually pragmatic.

So you don't trust Kenwright when he says he would sell tomorrow if someone came to him?

cynicism - a cynical feeling of distrust

(y)

No, No. Pragmatic, I told you.

And yes I do not believe BK, we already now he was putting in conditions as to the "right" buyer.

Well why have we not had any sale, or any sign of anything? Any offers? Anything in the media?

There has been absolutely zip.

If Kenwright was an obstruction to any potential investor, all it would take is a phone call to the Echo, Steve Morgan style.

There are ways and means of manipulating it.

For example if someone is selling their house under the noses of the tenant. The tenant can do their utmost to put the buyers off. By making the product a less attractive choice.

But you never answered my question. Why have we not been sold when we have been up for sale for so long.

Recently, with the whole Kirkby affair, it would be impossible to even consider a takeover. If theres one thing investors dont like, its uncertainty. Impossible to draw up figures.

I hope theres progress after the Kirkby decision.

So you think Kenwright is doing everything he can to fend of any interest? - Fair enough. As I said, we'll never know, all down to opinions and cynicism. You either trust the man, or you don't.

So why the Kirkby business in the offing did he say the club had been put up for sale.

You only have his word that it was put up for sale, have the other shareholders siad anything or indicated they would sell their shares.

I may be pragmatic:lol: but Danny are you gullible?

It's obvious from the quotes from Moyes' this week that we have nothing to spend.

Citeh, Villa, Spurs will all strengthen and we cannot continue with the same squad. It's not good enough. Around 5 players will be leaving, we have to replace all 5 and bring in at least another 5, to be honest. We can't continue to have no squad, we have seen what it can do. If we had a squad, we would be long past Villa.

It all stems down to Kenwright, not backing the manager, and he's about to ruin it again. I hope Moyes leaves if he's treated like he was again, it's an absolute disgrace and the board is basically pissing in Moyes' ear.
