While this is true, the ONLY reason Armstrong is here is cos we ran out of players. He was never getting a look in otherwise.

For me Armstrong is almost the exception that proves the rule as according to basically everyone that has worked with him he's like a 30 year old pro in the body of a teenager.

That's a great quality for Armstrong to have but it's extremely unusual. I'm sure there are things that players like Aznou and Dibling could be doing differently to have a better shot at being picked, but equally I do think they would have been handled differently at other clubs / by other managers.
