If it moved Mcneil further down the pecking order then I'm all for it.

There's obviously a winger spot to be grabbed by someone as we can't go the rest of the season playing Amrstrong there and he obviously doesnt think Dibling is doing enough. So there really shouldn't be much in front of George and the bar is set very low for what would be required to make an impact.

Could be perfect...if he's decent.

What does playing CB‘s in both FB positions do for the confidence of the 4 FB’s in our squad? Or Moyes seeing a need to buy more FBs?

Load of cobblers mate apparentyl. When i ran out of the Apple shop with an iPad Pro the plod wouldn’t entertain the notion “its not try before you buy, you little turd” they said “its bleedin shoplifting”. Still, the food is very nice here and you get monthly visits, so every cloud has a silver lining I suppose?

Because they had no intention of signing anyone for that position until the Grealish injury, so it’s a standing start.

There’s a shortlist to build and initial enquiries to make.

There’s no sense bidding for a player if they don’t want to come.

There are also wider considerations surrounding the implications of this move on other enquiries we likely have made for other positions.

It’s not just “player injured, make bid.”

Chelsea have only made him available in the last week otherwise we’d have made an offer at the start of the month

Hope we can pull this one off. Definitely need a replacement for Grealish and even though he is young and hasn't had much game time, looks a little bit more confident and able than Dibling. We will soon knock that out of him mind.

I’m not stupid enough to write off Dibling long term but it’s not hard to have more impact than him right now, even Aznou a left back playing left wing had more impact in his one cameo.

And Moyes playing Armstrong every week (and even shoe-horning him in out of position when he had McNeil, Dibling or Patterson all more suited to right wing) proves he doesn’t care about age so if this George lad is good enough, he’ll get game time!
