2025/26 Tyler Dibling

….i meant Everton U21s ;). I’m surprised he hasn’t been given games for our U21s, perhaps again pointing to personal issues.
Remember in the old days when you'd get the results from reserve matches in the papers ? Like printed in small. Was it Central League or summat we played in. Anyway, I digress, was just being nostalgic.

….certainly an argument for the Central League model. Squad players who were not involved in first team game would play along with those returning from injury and a mix of youngsters.

Terrific opportunity for young players to play open-age football with and against seasoned professionals. The introduction of multi-subs and the preference to keep youngsters in age restricted groups was the end for it.

It wasn’t just Central League, I saw internationals like Bracewell, Van den Hauwe, Jamie Redknapp and Molby coming back from injury and playing in Lancashire League games in ‘80s. As an aside Molby was particularly brilliant playing with and advising those youngsters, it was a masterclass.

Moyes history with young players would suggest that it's Moyes, If he had a past of getting young lads into his teams then I'd be more inclined to agree with you.

Think the other week when he started … palace I think or wolves …?

That was the first time Moyes had named a teenager in his starting 11 for 5 years
