Thought he looked well out of his depth tbf. Definitely one we need to give time to. He's shown the odd flash that suggests he can kick on but right now he's not ready to start.

For me he showed glimpses of talent which will only improve once he settles in the squad

Thought he individually looked fine today. We were just crap that half generally. No flashes of genius but he let off some pressure and won some good fouls.

Patience required and lots of it, back him and give him 12-18 months. We absolutely cannot be demanding performances of a 40m seasoned pro from this young lad right now.

Not sure personally, he didn’t do badly but him being replaced by alcaraz proved the biggest difference.
Dibling was tidy and played safe but probably didn’t get out of second gear whereas alcaraz came on and took the game by scruff of the neck.

I get it but It feels like dibling doesn’t want to make a mistake but it can look like he’s too casual. - I’m sure it’ll come with confidence.

Crazy the amount we spent on him...he is a top talent, but miles off...nowhere near the first 11...in an ideal world, we would have signed him, and the loan him out to a championship side as well as getting a more experienced player that can influence the team this season.

Nobody had a good first half. Him, same as Grealish was easy to double up on in the first half. Hes 19, he’s clearly not been bought as a ‘now’ player

Shows how much they rate him! Hopefully as he is settling down he’ll become more influential as the season progresses.

He looks like he needs to strengthen up a bit easily shrugged off the ball, but that’s not surprising for a19 year old. The disappointing thing for me is that we just don’t seem able to coach any young player with talent. He's a kid who needs specific coaching in this team compared to Southampton last season, Grealish doesn’t need it but he does .
