I mean, he’s not performed when he has played. Goodness knows what was happening in training.
3 minutes since February for our 2nd highest EVER transfer. Yeah, I would think MAYBE he would surpass the "highs" of Dwight McNeil in training. There's almost a 0% chance he would have been worse in training every single week. And, if he's not, then what's the point of training if not to pick the players who perform the best?
 
It really couldn't have gone much worse. Nevermind goals or assists, the lad barely kicked a ball. His performances in his limited opportunities were definitely not good, and Sunderland was abysmal, but there must be something else to it.

He's going to need to really hit the ground running in pre season or he might not even have a future here next season.
