2025/26 Tyler Dibling

This paragraph I thought very interesting & appears to be somewhat at odds to Moyes comments.

‘Football Association sources reveal how highly Dibling is regarded by England Under-21 coach Lee Carsley, who has made him a regular as they aim to retain the European Championship title they won in 2023. He is considered a key part of Carsley's plans, with both his talent and attitude greatly admired inside the set-up.’

Honestly think we could do a lot worse than Carsley of there’s no top managers available after Moyes. Least he’s actually got his teams over the line.

Archie Gray signed for nearly £40mill at Spurs. Played mainly due to injuries and they finished bottom, currently in a relegation scrap.

Chelsea have a squad full.
Gray's the opposite though, probably played more than he would've done due to injuries, might not have always been great but the experience will have been beneficial for him. Chelsea have obviously signed a load of players for significant fees who haven't been first teamers but I can't find a player who cost this much and had so little time playing. Gittens is possibly the closest but he had opportunities in other competitions and has been out injured.

It does look like a generational poor signing at the moment which even the sides at the top would be criticised for. It only looks worse given our financial context.

Interesting the point about the Saints manager saying they didn't make it difficult for him. It kinda feels we are. Lots of fuss, have to do this, make him ready etc.

Give the lad some time off the bench.

Its all due to the price. Thats the main thing.

Don't think under any coach you'll see a proper player in Dibling for another 2 years and thats okay if he reaches a potential to make the price tag look a bargain.

I understand why hes not playing. I also understand hes one for the future and its how he's handled.

But for the now £40mill in a impotent attacking side with no pace is difficult to swallow.

All about context. Grays game time will benefit the lad at the detriment to Spurs who have had back to back relegation scraps. Not the lads fault. But hes wouldn't be playing if others were available.

Chelsea are playing in more competitions. Dibling probably would've played more if we were in Europe. He started in league and Fa Cup games. We lost both.

Feels to me that Dibling has given up and doesn’t have much fight in him. With him being young he’s likely sulking and Moyes has seen that. Until he grows up and grows some balls to fight for his place and improve defensively he won’t be played until he does. I would love to see him on the pitch more. You don’t always improve unless dropped in deep end at times and game time is important. Moyes being Moyes though I can’t see that happening he’s stubborn and knows until he sees the effort you’re not playing unless you’re already his fave lol
