2025/26 Tyler Dibling

We’ll never know what the reason is.

If he’d been even a tiny bit holder this season we’d probably be on a handful more points and be in a fantastic position for Europe, but he’s changed winning teams to cram his old favourites in which have then played poorly the next game, he’s taken far too long to make the same ineffective substitutions and ultimately a fully fit and confident Dibling Rohl Iroegbunam or George might be giving him far more now in the push for Europe than McNeil or Gueye.
Yeah but that's where i'm saying is it just him being being him in your eyes, or if this is his actual final term as a manager in his own eyes.

If he got Europe he would have a lot more fans not holding the past against him and he could finish his career taking us back for a run at a trophy like he did when he first came in to pick us out of the gutter.

If we were in Europe next season would you keep coming back to previous or would you just be happy and concentrating on the now, not the past.
Remember with Europe a squad has to be utilised not just a team..

On what basis can you say we would probably have a "handful more points" ? We may easily have had a few less points. I'm fairly confident if lads were tearing it up in training they'd be straight in.

And what if we did have a few less points what real difference would it make? A different shade of mid table?

If we never risk anything we aren’t going to achieve anything. Players like Keane Gueye McNeil Beto Mykolenko Tarkwoski, we know what they give us. They’ve all had a billion opportunities, the majority of them are mid table to bottom half players.

Every time we play them we’re choosing the certainty of this level over taking a risk that other players could take us higher or yes lower.

One thing I just do not accept is that Dwight McNeil and Idrissa Gueye are showing levels in training that not one of George Dibling Rohl Alcaraz Armstrong Iroegbunam can get near. They must be the best trainers in the world because come match day I just see them giving up possession easily, messing up attacking positions, not tracking runners, and moving slower than most of the opposition players.

All those other player must be absolutely tragic if they can’t get ahead of these tow except we know they’re not because we’ve seen most of them play and when they’ve had chances some of them have done well.

Said exactly this in other threads, it’s just bizarre management, and if I’m TFG I wouldn’t give Moyes or his transfer committee another pound to spend.

I am not having the he sees them every day in training, they are crap horseshiz either, they have not been given a fair crack of the whip, end of.

Also, forget the training, during matches he’s watching Dwight mctreacle revert to type and not bother and he’s still picking him, or Myko not be able to cross his legs never mind a football, and still picks him.

If your a good lad who listens to Davey and does what he says, you get picked, regardless of ability or performance.
😆

Has he really been that bad though when he has played? Yes he hasn’t done much but he hasn’t played a load of suicide balls like McNeil has.

He’s probably fed up of seeing the same old players putting in the same old rubbish getting picked every week whilst Moyes suggests he’s not good enough in press conferences.

Why should any of the bench players push for a fair crack of the whip when Gueye McNeil Tarkwoski etc. can literally make mistake after mistake and never get dropped.
Yes, he was absolutely shocking against Sunderland. As bad as performance ive seen from an Everton winger in years.

Should he have been given more minutes though? Yes 100% because for every bad half he's had, Mcneil has had 3 full games of similar crapness

He was bad against Sunderland, and Wolves, but equally there was promise when he came in in the Anfield derby. Young players give you inconsistency, McNeil is consistently terrible and has no ceiling to improve.

I thought he done well against Forest away and was ok against Burnley away as well.

But Sunderland at home, that simply wasnt acceptable so no surprise he wasn't given minutes in the next couple of games. But here we are 3 months later and I dont think he's come on for a minute has he?

we’ll never know what’s gone on but I just find it continuously frustrating that Lookman, Vlasic, Moise Kean, Chermiti all apparently so poor for us they could barely get a game, and now we’re in a similar situation where for some unknown reason Dibling Rohl Aznou and to a certain extent George Alcaraz Iroegbunam are deemed not good enough to start for us and for some of them not even get minutes.

We’ve had some terrible teams yet not a single young player except Branthwaite can break in and claim a spot (under multiple managers this is btw)

Vlasic wasn't up to it

Yeah but let’s be honest neither were a whole host of players who played for us since in attacking positions. At one point he was a Croatian international.

Our bar for young players seems to be ‘must be brilliant and not make mistakes’. If you’ve got a load of prem experience then you can pretty much stink the gaffe out and get over 100 appearances and a few contracts out of Everton.

Ohh I agree with your point of view especially naming Lookman who's developed into a world class player. The problem is we keep appointing pragmatic managers so talented youth are to 'risky' to play

Lookman wanted everything now. It took him a further 3 seasons, two transfers and two loans to become the player he is. It's not as if he walked away and instantly became a great player, he probably wasn't ready when he was at Everton.
